The Bible
We uphold the Bible as the inspired Word of God and the final authority for our faith, doctrine, conduct, and life.
About
A church family guided by God toward a new harbor — and helping others find theirs.

In 2015, the Lord began depositing a fresh vision in our hearts. Over the following years, He refined that vision into a clear and simple purpose: to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Our name, Puerto Nuevo — "New Harbor" — comes from Psalm 107. Like sailors tossed by the storm, many people are searching for safety and direction. God hears their cry, calms the sea, and guides them to their desired haven.
That is who we long to be: a place where people encounter Jesus, find truth, belong to a church family, and discover the purpose God has for them.
"He made the storm be still, and the waves of the sea were hushed. Then they were glad that the waters were quiet, and he brought them to their desired haven." — Psalm 107:29–30
Our Mission
To lead people to Jesus, ground them in God's Word, grow them in community, and send them into the world with purpose.
At Puerto Nuevo, we believe the church is more than a place to attend. It is a people called to know Jesus, live His truth, grow together, and carry the Gospel into our city and our world.

What we believe
These convictions are central to who we are. They shape everything we teach, celebrate, and do.
Salvation
We are saved by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, for the glory of God.
Ephesians 2:8–9
Salvation is not earned through:
We uphold the Bible as the inspired Word of God and the final authority for our faith, doctrine, conduct, and life.
We believe Jesus is God. We believe Jesus Christ is fully divine and fully human, who came to earth, lived a sinless life, died for our sins, rose from the dead, and will come again.
We believe in one God who eternally exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the person and work of the Holy Spirit, and in His gifts and manifestations.
We believe water baptism is an outward expression of inward faith and an act of obedience to Christ, identifying the believer with His death and resurrection.
We believe communion is a sacred practice given to the church by Jesus, in which we remember His sacrifice and proclaim His death until He comes.
We believe in the unity of all believers and the church's calling to reach our community, city, nation, and world with the Gospel.
Lead Pastors
Pastors Frank and Rosa, both originally from Puerto Rico, have been married for 39 years. They have three adult children — two serve here at Puerto Nuevo, and one lives out of state.
Lead Pastor
Dr. Frank Garcia is originally from Puerto Rico and has served in ministry for more than 20 years. Alongside his calling, he served his country in the United States military for 23 years, was deployed three times, and retired as a Sergeant Major (SGM).
Years of service taught him to lead by example and to care for the people entrusted to him — and that is the heart he brings to pastoring. In 2026 he completed his doctorate in Organizational Management.
Above every title, Pastor Frank is a husband, a father, and a follower of Jesus who loves to see people find their place in God's family.
Pastor
Rosa Garcia is originally from Puerto Rico and serves alongside Dr. Frank Garcia in pastoral ministry.
Her first ministry was her family — pouring her faith, time, and love into her home and their three children. After that season, she went on to manage an investment property, bringing the same faithfulness and care to every responsibility.
Today, Pastor Rosa's heart for hospitality and for people helps make Puerto Nuevo a place where everyone feels welcome.
